Roshan Porcheron, Brandschutzplanung Germany
January 10, 2024
Roshan Porcheron prides herself on the great value she offers the US Army in Germany. If they want to make a building compliant with fire-safety regulations by installing smoke alarms, they have to implement the applicable US codes, as well as the German ones, she says. “It’s a complex job, but making sure that every detail complies with the regulations makes this client’s life a lot easier.”
Roshan, an employee of Riskonet’s German partner Brandschutzplaning explains. “The Americans, for example, will have an electrical engineer doing the fire-alarm design, a mechanical engineer doing the sprinklers, while the safety of life is mostly taken care of by the architect in Germany. I bring everything together. It’s my job to determine which requirements must be met, and which departments must implement them.”
“The value that I add is in bringing all the disciplines together. I facilitate good communication and define the most important aspects. For them to do it would be a lot of work and very complicated,” she says, adding that she is more than happy to make her clients’ lives easier.
